Hootie Series:

PLAY YEAR ROUND

Beginning in 2026, the Hootie & the Blowfish Junior Golf Series and the SCJGA One Day Series will merge to form a yearlong program designed specifically for junior golfers across South Carolina. This newly unified series has been reimagined, expanded, and elevated to better serve the growing needs and aspirations of young golfers throughout the state.

No more local chapters, no more seasonal play, and no more limitations.

Year-Round Schedule

January – December

The traditional summer-only format has expanded to a full-year calendar
Multiple events every month across South Carolina
Season concludes with a Tour Championship for Hootie Series players (All-Star Championships)

How to Play in the Hootie Series

STEP 1 – Join as a Member

Register as a Series Member for $200 annually (includes access to register for Hootie Series, Players Series, and Major Championships)
Open to both male and female junior golfers across South Carolina
Boys inside the Top 125 of the Heritage Classic Foundation Rankings are ineligible to participate in this program (Top 125 is fluid and updated monthly)

Divisions:
Boys 12 & Under
Girls 12 & Under
Boys 13–19
Girls 13–19

STEP 2 – Register for Events

All events are open statewide
No local chapters – fully merged into one SC-wide program
Entry is accepted in order of registration until full

STEP 3 – Earn Your Ranking

Every One Day event is ranked in the Heritage Classic Foundation (HCF) Rankings*
Events must meet minimums to count toward HCF Rankings
20 boys / 6 girls minimum per event
Your finishes contribute to a separate Hootie Series Ranking
Top players from the Hootie Rankings earn exemptions into Designated Players Series events (see information below)

Designated Players Series Events for Hootie Series Exempt Players

Two-Day, Elite-Level Events held every 2 months
Exemptions awarded to:
Top 15 boys in Hootie Series Rankings
Top 5 girls in Hootie Series Rankings
Selection based on your top four Hootie Series Finishes for the calendar year
These events lead to additional exposure and development opportunities
