At Cheraw State Park Golf Course Brady Senn of Gilbert, SC, put together a stellar performance to claim the Boys Division title. He trailed by three strokes entering the final round in which he responded by shooting a final round of three under par 69. Brady finished the tournament with rounds of 73-69, for a two-day total of two-under par (142) to win by two strokes.
Evan Cheek of Greer, SC, finished in second place with a strong showing, carding a even-par 144 overall.
In the Girls 13-19 Division, Spencer Harvey of Simpsonville, SC, took control early in the first round and didn’t look back. She posted rounds 73-75, finishing at four over par (148) to take home the title.
Hailey Zhao of Bluffton, SC, battled hard to finish in second place at nine-over-par 153.
The Players Series at Cheraw State Park showcased some of the top junior golfers in the state, with players rising to the occasion under competitive conditions. A special thank you to Cheraw State Park for hosting this year’s event and supporting junior golf in South Carolina.
