2009 Player of the Year Awards

Irmo - McKenzie Talbert of North Augusta and Austin Cody of North Charleston claim the Beth Daniel and Jay Haas awards for 2009. McKenzie had a strong finish to her season by winning her last three SCJGA tournaments to edge out Collins Bradshaw of Columbia. The award dates back to 1997 when eventual Solhiem Cup Team Member, Kristi McPhereson won the inaugural title. Kristi's Captain for the 2009 matches was Beth Daniel.

The Duke bound Cody cruised to his Player of the Year title with a victory at the SCJGA Fall Challenge to seal the deal over Columbia's Thomas Bradshaw. The award dates back to 1996 when Gamecock standout Kyle Thompson captured back to back awards.
