The Hootie & the Blowfish Summer Chapter Series is a developmental program for junior golfers looking to expand their knowledge of the game, tournament experience, and fun-natured competitive spirit.
The SCJGA along with a yearly generous donation to honor Marilyn and Papa Ed Thompson allowing our association to provide clubs to kids in an effort to grow the game to all prospective junior golfers. Junior players who would like to benefit from the SCJGA Clubs Fore Kids program must sign up for an SCJGA General Membership upon receiving clubs.
A joint initiative founded in 2013 by the Masters Tournament, United States Golf Association and The PGA of America, Drive, Chip and Putt is a free nationwide junior golf development competition aimed at growing the game by focusing on the three fundamental skills employed in golf. By tapping the creative and competitive spirit of girls and boys ages 7-15, Drive, Chip and Putt provides aspiring junior golfers an opportunity to play with their peers in qualifiers around the country. Local qualifying is typically available in all 50 states.
The core purpose of Youth on Course is to provide youth with access to life-changing opportunities through golf. Members play thousands of courses for $5 or less, benefit from employment through the caddie and internship program, and receive college scholarships. In the United States Youth on Course serves all 50 states.
The PGA Jr. League is the flagship youth pillar program of the PGA of America’s 501 (c)(3) foundation, PGA REACH. PGA Jr. League is committed to enriching lives through experiences that transcend golf. All skill levels are welcome, and no prior golf experience is required to participate in the program.
