Murrells Inlet, SC – Spencer Mills of Wilmington, NC, Taft Courie of Cary, NC, and Stephen Eastman of Charlotte, NC, have qualified at Wachesaw Plantation Club in Murrells Inlet, SC, to advance to the 2026 U.S. Junior Amateur at Saucon Valley Country Club in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.
Mills earned medalist honors with a score of four-under-par 68. Courie secured the second qualifying spot one stroke back at three-under-par 69. Eastman claimed the third spot after a birdie on the first playoff hole.
Marcus Bradley of South Carolina made bogey on the first playoff hole, while John Wylie Richardson and Connor Wolfe, both of South Carolina, made par to advance to a second playoff hole. After both players again made par, the playoff moved to a third hole, where Wolfe holed out for birdie to claim the first alternate position. John Wylie Richardson claimed the second alternate position.
A total of 82 players competed for four qualifying spots and two alternate positions to advance to the 2026 U.S. Junior Amateur Championship, which will be conducted at Saucon Valley Country Club in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, July 20-25, 2026.
