RIDGELAND, SC (May 26, 2026) – Match play is officially underway at The Match Play at Congaree, hosted by Congaree Golf Club in Ridgeland, SC.

After weather delays forced adjustments to the championship schedule, the boys division completed a nine-hole stroke play qualifier Monday morning to determine match play seeding before beginning the Round of 32 and Round of 16 later in the day. The girls division began directly with match play in a Round of 16 bracket. 

Starting strong in the round of 32, Sage Bradshaw (Bluffton) defeated Lane Wilson (Greer) with a 5 & 4 victory. Marcus Bradley (Columbia) found himself victorious against John Wylie Richardson (Florence) after a sudden-death playoff in 22 holes. Blake Bocelli (Charleston) secured the next round spot against Brady Senn (Gilbert), winning 1 up. Sam Sprayberry (Mount Pleasant) faced Dylan Roof (Conway) for a victory of 4 & 3. Will Ruth (Moore) won the round against Miles Vischer (Clemson) 6 up with 5 to play. Moses Zikusooka (Spartanburg) defeated Carter Smith (Fort Mill) with a 3 & 2 victory. Landry Williams (Bluffton) moved on to the next round after winning his match 1 up against Daniel Price (Blacksburg). Bennett Scaletta (Belton) beat out Connor Wolfe (Blythewood) 3 & 2 to move forward to the next round. Reed Cook (Awendaw) was victorious against Cullen Beck (Greenville) with a 5 & 4 win. Canon Moriarity (Charleston) secured the next round spot winning against Thomas DeMint (Greenville) 2 up. Evan Hovde (Daniel Island) squared up against Emmett Walsh (Spartanburg) and ultimately moved on to the sweet sixteen with a 2 & 1 victory. Bryson McCurry (Greenwood) defeated Cal Harbin (Anderson) winning 4 & 2. Davis Petty (Spartanburg) faced Ty Childers (Gaffney) and secured a spot winning 1 up. Sam Pelsnik (Daniel Island) won the round against Brennan Kelly (Greer) 2 up. Dawson Szabo (Greer) moved on to the next round after defeating Maxwell Johnson (Mount Pleasant) after winning his round of 32 in 24 holes. Hunter Hylton (Hilton Head) secured a spot in the round of sixteen against Nate Porter (Piedmont) winning his round 3 & 2. 

In the afternoon Girls Round of 16 matches, Ella Kate Barnett (Galivants Ferry) defeated Adysen Langdale (Gilbert) with a 4 up victory. Lexi Palazzo (Hilton Head) defeated AC Peake (Pauline) with a 3 up result. Caroline Hawkins (Blythewood) would go on to defeat Sierra Schulze (Anderson) 7 up. Haley Zhao (Bluffton) would find herself victorious after beating Ava Romansky (Spartanburg) with 4 up to play. Marissa Scaletta (Belton) secured her way to the quarterfinal round after defeating Kate Gunnells (Belton) 6 up. Mia Carles (Clinton) was victorious over Reese Richardson (Aynor) 4 up. Arley Jennings (Spartanburg) secured her quarterfinal spot, defeating Ava Cunningham (Bluffton) 7 up. Lyles Herritage (Lexington) defeated Serra Erlenkeuser (Anderson) 3 & 1. 

After a round of 16 in the Boys division, the following players found themselves victorious in moving forward to the quarter-finals: Sage Bradshaw (1 up), Sam Sprayberry (4 & 2), Will Ruth (4 & 3), Landry Williams (1 up), Canon Moriarty (4 up), Bryson McCurry (3 & 1), Sam Pelsnik (1 up), and Dawson Szabo (3 up). 

Quarterfinal matches will begin Wednesday at 8:30 am with the Semifinals starting in the afternoon.
