Landry Williams of Bluffton, S.C., carded a one-under-par 71 in the final round to capture the 31st Annual Jimmy Self Invitational Boys Division title. Williams finished the 54-hole championship at two-under-par 214 to earn the victory. This marks his second year in a row as champion.
Hunter Hylton of Hilton Head Island, S.C., finished runner-up after posting an even-par total of 216 for the tournament.
In the Girls Division, Hallie Anne Winters of Gastonia, N.C., fired a final-round 3-over par 75 to claim the 31st Annual Jimmy Self Invitational title. Winters finished the championship at 13-over-par 229.
A.C. Peake of Pauline, S.C., earned runner-up honors after carding a 10-over-par 82 in the final round. She finished the tournament at 20-over-par 236.
About the Jimmy Self Invitational
Named in honor of a man who gave so much to golf, the Jimmy Self Invitational was originally one of the top high school tournaments in South Carolina and has now become one of the SCJGA’s major junior championships. The 54-hole event has been presented by Greenwood Development since its inception. The original idea was to rotate the tournament’s location between Greenwood Development properties in Charleston, Greenwood and Hilton Head Island. This year’s competition at Palmetto Dunes continues the Jimmy Self Invitational’s legacy, adding to South Carolina’s rich history of amateur and junior golf.
