Spartanburg, SC (June 18, 2026) – Final-round results of the 68th SCGA Junior Championship Presented by the Heritage Classic Foundation, hosted by The Country Club of Spartanburg in Spartanburg, South Carolina, on Thursday, June 18, 2026.
Entering the day with the lead, Erik Erlenkeuser of Anderson fired a final-round score of six-under-par 65 to claim the 68th SCGA Junior Championship title. Erlenkeuser carded seven birdies today to finish the tournament with an overall score of thirteen-under-par 200.
With this win, Erlenkeuser punched his ticket to the 2026 U.S. Junior Amateur Championship hosted at the Saucon Valley Country Club in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.
When asked what the victory meant to him, Erlenkeuser reflected on both the challenge and the opportunity. “It means a lot to me. I didn't qualify for the U.S. Junior in my qualifier, so this was a big tournament on my schedule,” said Erlenkeuser. “With such a big lead going into the last day, it was important to stay focused and take it shot by shot. I was able to keep it together and play with confidence.”
Bennett Scaletta of Belton and Davis Petty of Spartanburg finished the tournament tied for second place with an overall score of six-under-par 207.
The top eight finishers qualified for the 51st annual Georgia-South Carolina Junior Team Matches. The 2026 South Carolina team is comprised of Erik Erlenkeuser, Davis Petty, Bennett Scaletta, Jamen Sanders, Bryson McCurry, Daniel Price, Kingston Linder, and Carter Smith.
The matches will be played August 1–2 at Augusta Country Club in Augusta, Georgia.
Each participant in the 2026 GA-SC Team Matches will earn 350 bonus Heritage Classic Foundation points for competing in the matches. Each member of the 2026 South Carolina team will earn an additional 150 bonus Heritage Classic Foundation points for a South Carolina team victory over Georgia.
