Charleston, SC – The prestigious Al Esposito Junior Golf Tournament, hosted by the South Carolina Junior Golf Association (SCJGA), concluded this week at the Charleston Municipal Golf Course, showcasing some of the top junior talent from across the state.

In the Boys 13-19 Division, Sam Sprayberry of Mount Pleasant emerged victorious with an impressive four-under-par score over 27 holes. Sprayberry’s steady play through challenging conditions set him apart in a competitive field. Davis Peevy of Charleston secured the runner-up position with a solid two-under-par performance.

Due to inclement weather, the boys' tournament was shortened from the traditional 36 holes to 27 holes, but the field remained competitive despite the disruption.

In the Girls 13-19 Division, Kylie Smith of Blythewood claimed the title after completing two rounds of 82 and 71 for a nine-over-par total of 153. Her second-round 71 was the lowest round in the girls’ field. Anna Gressette of Summerville earned runner-up honors with consistent rounds of 81 and 78, finishing at 15-over-par (159) over 36 holes.

The SCJGA extends its congratulations to all participants. A special thank you to all of the staff at Charleston Municipal and all of the amazing people that help make the Al Esposito such and amazing event year in and year out.
