2008 SCJGA/CPGA Pro-Junior
Columbia - With twenty five teams
chasing for the 2008 title, the team from the Cassique Club of Kiawah Island won
the SCPGA-SCJGA Pro-Junior with an eighteen hole score of 53. The team of four
players combined for a team total 28 on the front nine and then came home in 11
under par on the back nine for a 25 to set a new tournament record. Greenwood
Country Club came in a respectable second at 16 under par 56. For the third year
in a row, the Forest Lake Club and their membership hosted the 100 players in
Columbia. Teams are comprised of PGA Professionals that are members of the South
Carolina Chapter of the PGA and three of their junior members. The foursomes had
three age brackets represented on their talented teams. Juniors age 15-18,
13-14, and 10-12 partnered with their professional in this 18 hole captain's
choice format. Clem King, Camden CC Head Professional and SCPGA President, was
