The Country Club of Charleston was originally founded in 1786 and has been listed by the USGA as being the oldest golf club in the U.S. I
t was also named to "GOLF Magazine's" 1995 list of "The First 100 Clubs in America." The current course, which was built in 1925, includes marshes that surround the entire layout.
